Club Magazine "Kent Driver"
The club keeps in touch with its Members not only thorough the use of this Website but also the publication of its quarterly magazine "Kent Driver". The magazine contains information not only about forthcoming events and information of general interest, but also articles written by Club Members about their experiences in motorsport
Organising and Marshalling
People willing to organise or help organise events are difficult to find. If you would be willing to help with the organisation of an event we would love to hear from you. Just contact one of the Club Officers listed in the Contact section of this Website.
Although we have a hardcore of dedicated marshals that turn up for our events and we are always pleased to welcome newcomers, be they experienced or inexperienced, to any of our events.
Autotesting
We organise a round of the British Autotest and BTRDA Autotest championships for national level competitors. For the Clubman we organise, on a fortnightly basis during the summer months, a series of evening grass autotests. However, if you do turn up don't be surprised to find 3 or 4 ex-National Champions out enjoying an evening with friends. We also run a training day, so people new to the sport can learn how to do it.
Rallying
We organise a series of navigational scatter events during the winter months to cater for both novice and expert crews. Members are also invited to numerous events in both the UK and Europe organised by other clubs. MMKMC is also part of a consortium, The Rally of Kent Limited, which promotes a multi-venue, forest stage event in the Kent area.
Trials
We organise Car Trials [formally called Production Car Trials] at venues in the South East. The Club currently runs the Brian Lewis and the Tyrwhitt-Drake car trials as well as the co-promoted multi-venue Weald Trial.
Sprinting
Whilst the Club is not currently organising sprint events, our members are invited to numerous sprint events around the Country. There are classes for roadgoing (both production and modified cars), kit cars, heavily modified cars and single seaters.
Social Events
Various events are organised throughout the year for our members’ enjoyment. The highlight of the year is our Dinner Dance, held at a local hotel. At this event the Club silverware is presented and members are able to swap stories with old, and new friends. The club also organises various special interest visits and treasure hunts, as well as a fun day with a barbecue.
